Opposition leader Raila Odinga has dismissed President Uhuru Kenyatta’s calls for unity by labeling him ‘chief tribal leader’.

The two most accomplished politicians in the modern history of Kenya are set to face each other in a rematch of 2013 elections in two months’ time.

Speaking at Emali on Tuesday, Odinga questioned Uhuru’s top appointments to the government and his development record.

“Uhuru should be the last person to claim to be uniting Kenya. He is a chief trbalist who has further contributed to disharmony in the country,” he said.

“We have seen him making appointments to specific tribes yet Kenya is a big country. Under NASA leadership, we shall ensure equity,” he said.

He further accused Jubilee administration of fueling ethnic tensions in the country by dispatching propagandist leaflets in some regions.

The opposition leader was referring to the recent leaflets that were dispatched in Kajiado County calling non locals to evacuate before elections.
