A furious opposition leader Raila Odinga on Tuesday likened president Uhuru Kenyatta to a ‘devil’ based on his floppy public arguments following Supreme Court ruling that nullified his victory.
Arguably the two most followed politician in the country, Odinga and Uhuru are set for another showdown in October, barely two months after August 8 elections.
He said Uhuru lacks trust from among Kenyans following his public denouncing of Supreme Court judges who nullified his victory.
“Uhuru is just like a devil. The other day he told us to go to court and now the verdict is out; he is abusing judges for no good reason.
“He is a master of double speak and does not respect constitutional organs. It is time that he understood that David Maraga has a security of tenure. Time for threats is over,” he added.
Throughout his rallies across the country, Uhuru has openly faulted the judgment by the judges and even vowed to teach them a ‘lesson’ should he win in October.
And in what is seen as a tactical move to woo Gusii voters, Odinga seized the opportunity by coming into the defense of CJ Maraga who hails from the region.
