Raila Odinga has alleged that President Uhuru Kenyatta has been feeding Kenyans with falsehoods as it emerged during his State of the Nation address.
Speaking at Laico Regency on Saturday in what he termed as Cord's 'State of the Nation Address', Raila described all those achievements Uhuru outlined in his speech as white lies.
“Today, we go beneath this false glitter and share with you fellow Kenyans the rot, the lies Kenyans are being fed and the failure that is trailing the nation and which Jubilee continues to deny," said Raila.
He stated that Kenyatta's claims on the construction of 3,000 kilometres road since 2013 was a grievous misrepresentation.
"Uhuru said the government has constructed 3,000 kilometres of roads in the last three years. What class of roads...from where to where? A pure lie," he claimed.
He further accused the President of painting the country as healthy while 'everything that can go bad has gone bad'.
Raila named Jubilee promises on food security, infrastructure, electricity connection, tourism, public procurement as some of the areas it has 'completely failed'.
“Jubilee is 99 percent off their pledges. The cost of living has gone up and this has affected prices of basic needs. Half of Kenyans’ earnings is spent on food," Raila said. #
