Odinga said Uhuru was playing a 'patron' role in instigating corruption within his government, insisting that the government had resorted into massive looting.

In yet another swipe on Jubilee administration, Odinga said the president had failed to lead by cracking a whip on suspects.

"Corruption is becoming our achievement and the president is proud of it. Corruption is massive right from his office downstream to government departments," he said in a press conference on Friday.

He added: "His only target is Odinga. I do not have instruments to fight corruption because he is in charge of government institutions that are obliged to fight graft."

President Kenyatta is on record for admitting that graft is rampant in the country and at some point he seemed withdrawn with its rate withing government institutions.

Last week, Transparency International ranked Kenya 145th in the corruption index, the worst since independence.
