ODM leader Raila Odinga has termed President Uhuru Kenyatta an outsider of Nairobi politics and promised him a humiliating defeat in August.

Being the epicenter of Kenyan politics, the two political heavyweights are keen to control the city by winning majority elective seats.

“Uhuru is a newcomer in Nairobi and cannot defeat me. He should be ready for a humiliating defeat,” said Odinga at a rally in Masinde Muliro grounds on Sunday.

“We are ready to send Jubilee home and the war starts right here in Nairobi. We shall ensure NASA scoops majority of seats to solidify our representation in the assemblies.”

In 2013, out of 17 parliamentary seats, Uhuru’s TNA managed to scoop nine to Odinga’s eight but lost governorship to Odinga’s ODM.

But at the assembly, the Orange Democratic Movement scooped majority of seats hence producing county speaker slot.

While Odinga started his politics in Nairobi’s suburbs of Lang’ata, Uhuru despite spending much of his life in Nairobi, only joined politics from his rural Gatundu home.
