Governor Hassan Joho has labeled President Uhuru Kenyatta a ‘tourist’ and challenged coastal people to ‘eat’ his money and vote for opposition leader Raila Odinga.
Kenyatta who has toured the coastal counties in as many times, is said to be planning a major campaign rally to the Indian Ocean counties which are perceived to be opposition strongholds.
And in yet another scathing attack to Kenyatta, the Mombasa governor accused his leadership of taking coastal residents for granted.
“The other day he launched SGR and failed to inform you that our jobs have been taken to Naivasha. He means nothing good to our people.
“He is just a tourist and whenever he comes, just eat his money and vote NASA. We are tired with his endless and meaningless trips to our region,” added Joho during an opposition rally at Mariakani on Thursday.
In a record two times, Joho has been barred from accessing presidential functions due to his persistent criticism on Jubilee government.
And his troubles have often degenerated to withdrawal of his security details and intensive probing by state agencies over his academic qualifications and corruption.
