Kiminini MP Chris Wamalwa has rubbished claims by the Jubilee Party that the opposition is plotting to rig the 2017 general elections.
The MP says that JP claims are ridiculous adding that President Uhuru Kenyatta’s party has sensed defeat in 2017.
The MP said that President Uhuru Kenyatta is afraid of losing to Cord in 2017 and is looking for excuses.
“The president and his party has sensed defeat in 2017 and is looking for excuses,” he said during an interview on Citizen TV, Tuesday.
Wamalwa said that Jubilee Party claims that Cord leader Raila Odinga is allegedly planning to rig in 2017 are ridiculous.
He said that JP is the one allegedly plotting to rig the 2017 polls.
“These people want to confuse Kenyans because they already know their plan is to rig in 2017,” said the MP.
The Kiminini legislator said that Cord is keen to unseat JP in 2017.
“We (Cord) are working on stong strategies that will send Uhuru packing in 2017,” he said.
The Ford Kenya lawmaker said that the proposed National Super Alliance (NASA) is the vehicle that will unseat Uhuru in 2017.
He dismissed Jubilee Party claims that NASA is tribal saying that it will pull a shocker in 2017.
“Let them despise NASA for now but come 2017 they will be shocked,” he added.
The opposition if fronting an alliance which it says will unseat Uhuru in 2017.
Amani leader Musalia Mudavadi is pushing the alliance formation with Cord co-principals Raila Odinga, Moses Wetangula and Kalonzo Musyoka said to be supporting it.
The Super Alliance according to sources could be unveiled in January next year.
The frontiers of the alliance are said to have reached out to Kanu chairman Gideon Moi, Chama Cha Mashinani CCM leader Isaac Rutto and Narc leader Charity Ngilu.
Political analysts say that NASA could be the next big thing in the country’s politics ahead of the 2017 polls. A section of Jubilee Party politicians have already raised fears that NASA could unseat President Uhuru Kenyatta in 2017.
President Kenyatta has however dismissed the proposed alliance as a tribal outfit meant to create divisions among Kenyans.
On Sunday, a section of Jubilee politicians alleged that the opposition is working with questionable NGOs and individuals to influence the outcome of the 2017 polls.
