Raila Odinga says President Uhuru Kenyatta is desperate to have him on round-table to solve issues surrounding his legitimacy adding that a number of emissaries had approached him.

Although he dismissed claims that his elder brother, Oburu Oginga, was on the center cycle of alleged negotiations, Odinga further claims Uhuru had reached him to cancel a memorial for victims of police brutality.

“Uhuru is the one who is desperate for discussions and keeps sending emissaries to that end,” said a rather agitated Odinga.

He added: “He is totally out of touch with Kenyans and those are my views. His biggest concern was that dignitaries came for coronation not to see the depth of opposition to him that the memorial service would have made.”

Despite the running battles with the police, NASA however managed to hold a memorial service at Kibra as opposed to Jacaranda grounds.

For the dialogue to take place, Odinga says, Uhuru must be ready to discuss issues surrounding electoral injustice in the country.
