Kisii and Nyamira county politicians during their meeting with President Uhuru at Statehouse Nakuru, September 13,2017./PSCUUgunja MP Opiyo Wandayi has slammed President Uhuru Kenyatta saying that he had started following the crooked ways of his late father.Wandayi said that Uhuru was promoting tribalism by hosting delegations at State House premises, a move he said amounts dictatorship.Opiyo said that statehouse had been turned into an "arena for advancing selfish political agenda".Wandayi said such move is " common among collapsed goverments where the unsuspecting members of the public are forced to pay allegiance to a dictator through proxies.""Uhuru latest meetings are reminiscent of tribal delegations to state house associated with dictatorial regimes of his father and retire President Moi."The legislator , a fierce critic of the Jubilee government spoke to the Star newspaper through phone hours after Uhuru met more than 10,000 delegates from Gisii land, a perceived NASA stronghold.The President was conciliatory with the Community requesting them for votes and that he had no personal differences with Justice Maraga.Wandayi concluded telling Uhuru that the perceived inroads in Kisii and Nyamira would not yield much and that the whole Nyanza region was locked under NASA.
