Opposition chief Raila Odinga has yet again launched a scathing attack on President Uhuru Kenyatta, alleging that the Head of State favoured his central region backyard in issuance of National Identification cards.
President Kenyatta, recently authorized registrar of persons to ensure Kenyans acquire ID cards in a record period of three days.
And on Thursday, Odinga said the directive only benefited people from President Uhuru Kenyatta’s Central Kenya backyard.
“The president went around the country and directed Registrar of persons to issue ID cards in three days. I have not seen that directive implemented squarely,” he said.
He added: “It is only helping the people of central Kenya where he comes from. This is the kind of leadership we are opposing as a united people.”
Odinga added that the move could not sabotage his dream of ‘rescuing’ the country from Jubilee administration which he vowed to send home.
