Suna East MP Junet Mohammed maintains that NASA will not honor August 31 parliamentary session because it was called by a ‘stranger’.

The ODM Director of elections further says NASA will only honour such summons after a determination by the Supreme Court in the case challenging reelection of President Uhuru Kenyatta.

“Our stand is in public domain and nothing has changed. Uhuru should not act as if he has won an election yet we have serious issues to discuss,” says Junnet.

Regarded as an insider in the Orange party, Mohammed adds:”We can only honour such directives when the courts decide. A stranger cannot summon elected MPs.”

NASA wants Uhuru’s reelection cancelled on grounds that electoral body IEBC conducted fraudulent elections which were ‘massively’ rigged.

For the second time in a row, Uhuru was declared winner having scored at least 54 percent of votes to Raila Odinga’s 44 percent.

The seven Supreme Court bench is expected to start its pretrial conference on Saturday evening and will deliver a determination on September 1st.
