Making the revelations at his Capitol Hill office, Raila wondered how Kenyatta had information that he would on Friday afternoon address the press on another controversial Itare Dam Water project that is situated at the Mau water tower.

"President Kenyatta is listening to my phone calls and they heard me have a conversation with somebody this (Friday) morning. It was unfortunate that the President's statement had to preempt my statement," Raila said.

Raila termed phone tapping allegation as a circus, also claiming that the Jubilee Party Delegates Convention at the Bomas had no clearly cut agenda on party affairs.

He further pointed out that Jubilee had devised a crude strategy to re-brand him as a propagandist through intimidation, blackmail and even silencing the opposition from criticising the 'corrupt' government.
