Machakos Senator Johnson Muthama has launched a scathing attack on President Uhuru Kenyatta ahead of the August general elections.

Speaking in Meru, Muthama said that the head of state has lied to Kenyans for the past four and half years, adding that his days in power are numbered.

The senator, who is not defending his post, also said that Uhuru wants to finish Meru Governor Peter Munya politically as he seeks to retain power.

 “Uhuru umedanganya wakenya miaka nne na nusu, madaktari waligoma kukosa mishara,walimu waligoma kukosa mishahara, umeacha maduka bila unga na umemaliza Wameru na sasa unataka kumaliza Munya.”

 Loosely translated (Uhuru you have lied to Kenyans for four and half years. Doctors went on strike because of salaries; teachers went on strike because of salaries. You have left shops with Unga  and you have finished Meru people and now you want to finish Munya.”

He added: We ni bure, Uhuru ni bure, Uhuru ni bure( Uhuru is useless, Uhuru is useless)

 The senator also said that the only way President Uhuru will only retain power if he rigs. He further said that the opposition will not allow Jubilee to rig the forthcoming general elections.

The vocal politician was accompanied by Former Prime Raila Amolo Odinga, Wiper Party leader Stephen Kalonzo and Ford Kenya Leader Moses Wetangula among others from the opposition.
