ODM politicians in the Mombasa have claimed that the visit by President Uhuru Kenyatta in the region is not focused on development but just politics of belittling Governors Hassan Joho (Mombasa) and Amason Kingi (Kilifi).
According to politicians, Uhuru did not launch any development projects during his Sunday visit.
The politicians who included Mombasa Senatorial nominee Mohamed Faki and nominated MCA Mohamed Hatimi said while in other region Uhuru issued money and development but nothing was done in Mombasa.
“We expected funds to subdivide lands for squatters on a complimentary basis. They even failed to settle their Jomvu MP nominee who is a squatter,” Faki said.
“What Uhuru and Ruto had for us were attacked on our leaders(Joho and Kingi),” he added.
