President Uhuru Kenyatta launched a scathing attack on Wiper Party Leader Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka, saying he did nothing for the people of Garissa for the past 35 years.
Speaking during his tour in the region, Uhuru said that the residents of the region have no reasons to back the opposition.
He argued that the alliance is made up of leaders who did not improve the welfare of the residents for the past regimes yet they want to be re-elected into power.
“Your neighbor Kalonzo Musyoka was in Government for 35 years. Let him show us one thing he has done for the people of Garissa,” said the President.
Uhuru also said that residents of this part of the nation have enough reasons to vote for the Jubilee government. He further said that the Jubilee regime has initiated a number of projects in across North Eastern, adding that he deserves another term to complete what he started four years ago.
“For the first time, the Leader of Majority (Aden Duale) comes from North Eastern, the Cabinet Secretary for Trade Adan Mohamed is from Mandera and the Foreign Affairs Cabinet Minister (Amina Mohamed) is one of you,” said the President.
Uhuru and his Deputy William Ruto are banking on votes of this region to retain power when that time comes.
