President Uhuru Kenyatta on Tuesday congratulated Ken Ogeto after he took oath as the new Solicitor General.
"Congratulations, Ken Ogeto, as you begin your service as Solicitor General," President Uhuru Kenyatta said.
Ken Ogeto was on Tuesday sworn in as the new Solicitor General in a ceremony officiated by the head of public service Joseph Kinyua.
The new solicitor general took two pledges in a ceremony that happened under the watchful eyes of his excellency president Uhuru Kenyatta.
While the first oath was on accountability issues, the second oath was on leadership and integrity,
The two oaths taken by Ken Ogeto were basically to assure Kenyans of his efficiency and effectiveness in serving them once he assumes office.
It was an assurance of his commitment to observe the rule of law and high integrity standards, and his commitment in the fight against corruption.
"I pledge to undertake within the first 90 days of commencement of my public duties a comprehensive review of internal management systems within my institution and to thereafter identify and highlight all areas of weakness in terms of anti-graft measures and to work with relevant officers and institutions to strengthen the same," Mr. Ogeto said.
The lawyer will now succeed Njee Muturi who took over as the president's Deputy Chief of staff.
