President Uhuru Kenyatta has been lauded by the NGOs council for deploying Kenya Defence Forces to the troubled Baringo region.

The council’s National Chair Stephen Cheboi has expressed optimism that the deployment will boost security in the region following a series of bandit attacks.

 “We applaud the step as we hope the officers will work to ensure that Law and order in the region. Peace is crucial for all Kenyans across the country,” Cheboi says.

Additionally, the council has called on the local leadership to cooperate with the security personnel to deal with bandits who killed 11 people and injured others in Makutani area of Baringo County.

 “There is a need for all stakeholders to work together to ensure Kenyans remain in Peace all the time.”
