President-elect Uhuru Kenyatta has launched ultra-modern cancer treatment machines at the Kenyatta National Hospital. The event took place on Thursday, afternoon.
The new facility will help increase the number of cancer patients treated per day from 120 to 190.

"The equipment we have launched today further reaffirms the government's commitment in the fight against cancer," said Uhuru.
The Head of State also said his government will continue to invest more on such facilities to ensure the country is well equipped to combat cancer cases in the country.
“My Government will expand cancer treatment services by upgrading KNH and Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital, Eldoret, and establishing six new cancer treatment centers in strategic locations across the country," said Uhuru.
"This will improve access to treatment and enhance patient health outcomes,” he added.
