President Uhuru Kenyatta has launched scathing attacks on the National Super Alliance (NASA) leaders accusing them of failing to deliver to Kenyans when they served in top positions in the previous regimes.
In particular, the President castigated NASA presidential running-mate Kalonzo Musyoka and Amani National Congress (ANC) Party Leader Musalia Mudavadi for doing nothing to benefit Kenyans despite them being in influential government positions.
"Kalonzo served under KANU for 35 years but there is nothing , even in his home area, he can stand and say; this is my project," he said speaking during a rally in West Pokot County on Thursday.
The Head of State added: "Mudavadi served as a KANU Cabinet Minister from the day he left university until when the ruling party lost power but Kenyans have nothing to celebrate about him."
Outlining Jubilee's achievements and future plans, Uhuru urged the residents to back the ruling coalition and shun the opposition which he said has no development record to offer Kenyans.
“We have made great strides in development, solving land issues and security problems. They have been in government for 100 years combined but have no ideas," he added.
Uhuru who was accompanied by his deputy William Ruto toured three counties of Laikipia, West Pokot and Busia where they appealed to Kenyans to rally behind them in the August 8 General Election.
"Jubilee administration has been action oriented and Kenyans have benefited greatly. You should give us another chance,” said Uhuru in Busia.
