Ex-Kitutu Masaba MP Timothy Bosire has directly linked President Uhuru Kenyatta's administration over the ongoing controversy on construction on Bonyunyu Dam.

Already, one person has died with several injured as police struggled to repulse angry demonstrators opposing the project.

"The government never called for feasibility study and here they are forcing people out of their ancestral land.

"Uhuru Kenyatta should tell people where the money set for evacuation went to and other logistics. We expect the Sh 5 billion to cater for that," said the ODM Treasurer.

The multi-billion project is partly funded by the government of the Netherlands and the Kenyan government from Lake Victoria Basin.

To allow the project go through, Bosire says, the government should come clean on various allocations and feasibility study.

Last week, the contractor faced hard times when locals insisted need for dialogue over their fate, a move that has been ignored by the administration.
