The decision by President Uhuru Kenyatta to name the entire cabinet was a clever way of sending Raila Odinga to retire, says Gideon Mamboleo.
On Friday, Uhuru named the second and final batch of people who will serve in cabinet, with none of opposition allied individual making it to the list.
And according to Mamboleo, the turnout of events shows Uhuru is not ready to dialogue withe Odinga.
"Raila has been locked out completely and I don't expect a miracle. Negotiations will not yeield any fruits because it is all about power sharing.
"Constitutionally, he never left option for a government of national unity and this is a blow to Odinga," he says.
US has been pushing for negotiations between NASA and Jubilee with sources indicating that a few opposition individuals could have been offered cabinet slots.
Those who were linked with a move to government include Farah Maalim, Bonny Khalwale and Jakoyo Midiwo.
