There was an interesting incident during a function in Nairobi which was attended by President Uhuru Kenyatta and his deputy William Ruto.
Uhuru and Ruto were hosted by Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko in Embakasi during the function to issue residents with title deeds.
While making his speech, Sonko took the moment to make peace with the executive. He hailed President Kenyatta over his efforts to fight corruption.
He also thanked the President for supporting Nairobi County’s development.
“His Excellency usitishwe na mambo ya Miguna Miguna, hiyo ni watu wako tuu walikuwa wamenisumbua sana,” Sonko said.
Kenyatta, who was a few steps from where Sonko was speaking at, shouted at the governor.
“Wewe, ati kutishwe … nani amekwambia mimi na natishwa na mtu, eeh?!” Kenyatta said as the microphone picked his voice from the background.
