Renowned political analyst Makau Mutua claims that President Uhuru Kenyatta lost ‘badly’ to opposition leader Raila Odinga in the recently concluded elections.
Results released by IEBC put Kenyatta ahead with 54 percent while Odinga trailed him at 44 percent and the opposition has yet contested the results.
And on his Twitter, Makau blasted Uhuru of allegedly acting ‘childishly and with ignorance’ because he had lost elections.
“I am told that Uhuru is shutting down KHRC on unjustifiable grounds. This simply shows that he lost badly and that is why he is bitter with NGOs.
“These kind of childish behaviors do not help. He should face the truth that he lost polls and everyone knows that. We cannot tolerate such impunity anymore,” he said.
NGO coordination Board de-registered both KHRC and Africog on grounds that they have been faulting taxation, claims which the individual organizations have since dismissed.
Last year, Makau who is known as a fierce critic of Kenyatta administration, shocked the nation when he applied for CJ position.
