President Uhuru Kenyatta has promised to concede defeat should he lose during the next general elections.

Speaking on Wednesday during a political rally in Kakamega County, the Head of State noted that he will respect and accept the will of people, urging his rivals to ape the same.

“We’re telling our competitors that Kenya belongs to all of us. Kenyans will decide and we’ll respect their verdict,” he said.

He further called on Kenyans to uphold peace before, during and after the polls.

“Let’s come together on the basis of agenda, policy and programmes. Those banking their victory on their tribes will be shocked because Kenya is not the same anymore," he said.

On the ever rising cost of living, President Kenyatta revealed that his administration is working around the clock to ensure that food prices stabilize.

“All we need now is to make sure we have enough quantity to reach every household. What will the opposition tell you when every household feels the reduced cost of living?” he posed.
