Amani National Congress leader Musalia Mudavadi has called on President Uhuru Kenyatta to resign if he can't fight the runaway corruption in the country.
The ANC party leader also said Uhuru might go down in history as the worst President the country will ever have.
Addressing the press on Friday, Mudavadi said if the President fails to resign, Kenyans should assume that the office of the President is vacant.
According to the former Vice President, the Uhuru lacks the political will and commitment to fight corruption.
"He has thrown in the towel at the altar of corruption cartels. Recently at his residence, and for once, the President was honest with Kenyans that he is defeated. He has given up on corruption," Mudavadi said.
"Unless heads begin to roll, Kenyans are on their own, because the shepherd ran for cover with the wolves. Kenyans are in dire need of a new shepherd."
Mudavadi's sentiment comes at a time when the alleged loss of Sh5 billion in the Ministry of Health is continuing to elicit mixed reactions from Kenyans.
The former deputy Prime Minster added that the Jubilee government is reluctant to release money to the counties as a way to retain the cash and create an avenue for stealing while sabotaging devolved units.
He added that with the current administration in place, the worst is yet to come.
