A recent meeting between retired president Daniel Moi and Uhuru Kenyatta has stirred waters within Deputy President William Ruto’s camp over 2022 politics.

DP supporters wonder whether there is something cooking between the two First Families regarding the 2022 presidential game plan.

Suspicion hit new heights recently when Uhuru paid the Moi family a visit in their Kabarak home in Nakuru.

This meeting came a few months after Uhuru’s mother Mama Ngina Kenyatta also visited Mzee at his home. Details of these private meeting remain highly guarded.

“How come he always come to visit mzee in the absence of his deputy. And Gideon attends these meetings, what do they discuss?” Geofrey Kirui said.

Ruto’s backers said that bearing in mind that Moi is Uhuru’s mentor and political godfather, the meetings must be ‘plotting something’.

“Moi backed Uhuru in 2002, could it be they are planning to shortchange the DP and Uhuru returns hand by backing Gideon?” Grace Kamuren said.
