President Uhuru Kenyatta has expressed his sadness following the death of renowned Gikuyu legendary musician Peter Wagathuma.The musician popularly known as PM Wagathuma, was on Friday laid to rest at his Mukendu home in Nyandarua County.In a message of condolence through Ol Kalou MP Njuguna Kiaraho, the President described the musician as a legend who inspired his fans."His sudden death is a blow to the music industry and the country at large," Kenyatta mourned.Wagathuma was born in 1944 as a last born in their family.He started his career in 1969 and has recorded hits among them 'Mwenda Lucy', 'Kariko Mukuria Chuthu', 'Mwomboko' and many more.He died while undergoing treatment at Kenyatta National Hospital (KNH).
