President Uhuru Kenyatta has named his full cabinet.
Some of the notable changes are Amina Mohamed being appointed Education CS, replacing Fred Matiang'I, who had been appointed as the Interior cabinet secretary.
Veteran journalist Farida Karoney has been nominated CS Lands.
Amb Monica Juma has been nominated to the Foreign Affairs docket, replacing Amina.
The president has created the position of Chief Administrative Secretary in each ministry.
Former Budalangi MP Ababu Namwamba will be Juma's Chief Administrative Secretary.
Some former cabinet secretaries have been appointed ambassadors.
Former Environment CS Judi Wakhungu was named Kenya envoy to France, Dan Kazungu to head to Tanzania, Phyllis Kandie (Belgium), Willy Bett (India) and Hassan Wario to Austria.
Jacob Kaimenyi who was Land’s CS was made Kenya’s envoy to Unesco, while former Health CS Cleopa Mailu has been appointed Permanent Representative to UN in Geneva.
Kiema Kilonzo who was named Kenya’s ambassador to Ghana while Lazarus Amayo was appointed to head Kenya's UN mission in New York City
