President Uhuru Kenyatta has launched a scathing attack at the National Super Alliance (NASA) top brass saying they have nothing to offer Kenyans but empty talk.
Speaking in Lamu County where he flagged off machinery for construction of the Garsen-Witu-Lamu Road, President Kenyatta asked the residents to ignore the empty promises of the opposition, urging them to back him for a second term to allow him complete the projects he has started. The Head of State said that Cord Leader Raila Odinga, Wiper Party Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka, Ford Kenya Leader Moses Wetangula and Amani National Congress (ANC) leader Musalia Mudavadi do not have the interest of Kenyans at heart as their main aim is to rise to power. “Ours is a government of actions. We don’t just talk, we do,” Uhuru said, as quoted by the Star. Uhuru further called upon Lamu Governor Issa Timamy to cross over to Jubilee to benefit his people. “Our objective is development and not just talk. What I want from Lamu leaders especially governor Timamy and his people is for you to join Jubilee so that we can walk together to development,”said Kenyatta, as quoted by Baraka FM. The president was accompanied by his Deputy William Ruto.
