President Uhuru Kenyatta has nominated retired Archbishop Eliud Wabukala for the postion of Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) chairperson.

Wabukala will now undergo parliamentary vetting after President Kenyatta issued a notice to the Speaker of the National Assembly Justin Muturi on Tuesday.

The public will have seven days to express their views before the nominee is confirmed.

The position of EACC chairperson became vacant following the resignation of Philip Kinisu on August 31, after a company he was associated with was linked to the loss of Sh791 million at the National Youth Service.
