Former Migori Senator Wilfred Machage has been nominated an Ambassador by President Uhuru Kenyatta.

In a tweet, President Kenyatta announced that he had nominated three new ambassadors and forwarded their names for approval.

“I have nominated the following as Ambassadors. Richard Titus Ekai; Eng. John Okuna Ogango; and Wilfred Machage. I have forwarded their names to the National Assembly for vetting and approval.” Read the post on President Uhuru Kenyatta’s  official twitter handle.

The three now await approval by parliament to commence their official ambassadorial duties.

Meanwhile, the Head of State also nominated Noordin Mohamed to take over from Keriako Tobiko as the new Director of Public Prosecutions.

"I have conveyed to the National Assembly the nomination for vetting and approval of Justice Paul Kihara Kariuki as Attorney General; and Noordin Mohamed Haji as Director of Public Prosecutions," he tweeted. 

Noordin is the son to Garissa Senator Yusuf Haji.
