President Uhuru Kenyatta on Wednesday claimed that his alleged failures are orchestrated by opposition leader Raila Odinga, whom he accuses of sabotaging the economy.
He further says his government has been fighting ‘stage managed’ battles which he says derailed development in many opposition strongholds.
“I hear them saying that I am a failure but I want to remind them that they have been behind all wrangles in the development sector,” he told Marsabit residents.
Uhuru added: “As a government, we have initiated many projects some of which the opposition has been in frontline to curtail them. Things are not that easy but Raila Odinga should take responsibility.”
With only ten days to elections, both political parties are running intensive campaigns which are targeting regions perceived to be swing.
Odinga and Uhuru will be facing each other for the second time in less than five years and both sides are confident of a victory.
Already, IEBC has confirmed that election preparations are at homestretch and insisted that they will announce presidential results once they are through with tallying.
