Wiper Party Leader Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka has been asked to leave the National Super Alliance (NASA) ahead of the August elections.
President Uhuru Kenyatta has called upon the former vice president to cross over to Jubilee in order to be part of the government after the August general elections as he prepares to take over the nation.
Uhuru said that Kalonzo should avoid being misled by former prime minister, Raila Amolo Odinga, who has lost presidency three times. Addressing the residents during his day two of his tour in the region, Uhuru said Kalonzo should join his side so that they can form the government with Deputy William Ruto after he leaves power in 2022.
“I urge my brother Kalonzo Musyoka not to be misled by Raila Odinga. Come and work with us. When I leave office, you can work with William Ruto and move this country forward,” he said.
On his part, Ruto called upon Kalonzo not to be misled by Raila to fake Canaan. He also took a swipe at Raila for promising to legalize Chang’aa when he takes over power in August.
“My brother Kalonzo is a Christian who I am sure will not allow his people to be led to a fake Canaan that chang’aa and busaa is legalised. The Canaan we know in the Bible is the one that has honey and milk,” he said.
