President Uhuru Kenyatta is ready to appoint National Super Alliance (NASA) presidential candidate Raila Odinga to the Cabinet after the election.

Speaking when he took his re-election campaign to Teso South on Thursday, the President asked the opposition leader to stop attacking his Cabinet Secretaries unless he wants to be one.

“If he (Raila) wants to be Cabinet Secretary, I am ready to give him that post after elections," he said while addressing supporters in Adungosi.

Raila has constantly accused government officials of campaigning for Uhuru's re-election which is contrary to the constitution.

In June, NASA called on the DPP Keriako Tobiko to prosecute seven Ministers for allegedly using state resources to campaign for Jubilee.

Among the CSs targeted were; Education Minister Fred Matiang'i, Water CS Eugene Wamalwa, Devolution's Mwangi Kiunjuri and former Interior CS the late Joseph Nkaissery.

James Macharia (Transport), Najib Balala (Tourism) and Cleopa Mailu (Health) were also accused of politicking.

Raila has said should NASA form the next government after August poll, all State officers campaigning for Uhuru will be fired.

"Uhuru must prepare to leave office with his political civil servants. We will not allow them to serve in NASA government," the ODM leader remarked recently.
