President Uhuru Kenyatta has accused opposition team of failing to accept 2013 elections results and subsequent intentions to overthrow his legitimate government.
Uhuru also accused the opposition our hurling insults against presidency without tangible solutions to the problems the country is facing.
Speaking at Mombasa on Saturday during the ushering of the New Year, Uhuru urged Kenyans to reject the opposition team’s dirty tactics of taking government.
“The opposition has never moved on since 2013 elections which were determined and settled even at the Supreme Court. There is no single election observer group that challenged the outcome,” he said.
“They are power hungry and have even threatened to overthrow the government by calling for mass actions. These are people who should be ignored completely by all Kenyans,” Uhuru added.
The Head of State however, extended his call to the opposition to work closely with the government for the sake of the country’s stability.
