The much-anticipated Raila Odinga swearing-in may not happen after all on January 30 or if it will happen at least not at Uhuru Park.
It is emerging that another group of people has already applied to use the iconic park on the day NASA intends to hold its ceremony.
A religious group and another group calling itself ''the business community have applied for permits according to officials at City Hall.
''I can confirm that we have on our desk two applications for the use of Uhuru Park by a religious group and a business community,'' an official speaking on condition of anonymity because he's not authorised to speak on such matters said.
The revelation comes in the wake of a worsening political stand-off between Jubilee and NASA over the swearing-in plans.
Jubilee contends that such a move would be treasonous while NASA maintains it will go with plans anyway.
It is unclear the implications that the two applications will have on the swearing-in.
