After winding up his tour of Lamu and Tana River counties during his first day of the four-day tour of the Coast, President Uhuru Kenyatta and his deputy William Ruto will visit Kilifi and Kwale counties on Thursday.
According to the President's handlers, the Head of State will visit the two opposition counties to inspect development projects.
The President who has in the past engaged in verbal spats with Kilifi Governor Amason Kingi will open a police station in Magarini sub-county before addressing a political rally.
Magarini is Kingi's home constituency having represented it for five years.
Kwale County, the epicentre of ODM rebellion in the Coastal strip will also see the President hold various political rallies even as he hopes to cast wide his political net.
The President who has devised a strategy of planting kingpins in each of the six coastal counties in order to sway the region into the Jubilee formation is hoping to reap big from the ODM's shambolic nominations in the region that has left many disgruntled aspirants.
With Kilifi North MP Gideon Mung'aro and Kwale Governor Salim Mvurya being his key point men in the region, the President is keen to get slightly more than 150,000 votes he garnered in 2013.
