The Government will make secondary education free in 2019 , President Uhuru Kenyatta pledged on Wednesday.
The Head of State said this will make the transition from primary to secondary school possible for all KCPE candidates and also reduce school drop-out cases.
President Kenyatta was speaking in Mombasa on Wednesday when he addressed the 41st Kenya Secondary School Heads Association (KESSHA) annual national conference.
The President stressed on the place of education in national development adding that the Government will continue to invest heavily in education.
