The DP Secretary General Jacob Haji said the President should learn from his Tanzanian counterpart, John Magufuli on the measures to consider in curbing corruption.

Speaking in Nyeri town during the opening of the party offices, the SG said the head of state and his deputy William Ruto should come out boldly in the move to tame corruption, adding that they should not at any cost tolerate graft.

“The president promised to fight corruption when he took an oath of office but what is happening now is totally different. Public money lost through corruption has tripled,” he said.

The DP chairman, Esau Kioni was also present at the event. He called on the president to take necessary action against officials who are found involved the vice and urged him to avoid hiding those who are close to him.
