Commenting on the current political situation in the country in Kisii town, ACK Kisii, diocese bishop John Orina, urged Uhuru Kenyatta and Raila Odinga to demonstrate leadership.
He, however, noted that the church should not be viewed as an entity always at hand to clean the mess created by politicians.
“The two leaders should know that Kenya is greater than anyone else and seat down and talk and talk of peace instead of having a cold war between them” he added
He called for peaceful co-existence among communities ahead of the election saying the ballot would determine the right choice of the people.
The Bishop urged the citizens not to allow selfish politicians to use them to destroy their relationships with one another or their country.
The cleric noted that Kenyans needed each other and should ignore those who divide them under the pretext of numerical strength.
