[Photo:Standard]President Uhuru Kenyatta and Opposition leader Raila Odinga on Thursday paid their last tribute to the late Christabel Ouko.Christabel 75, who was the widow of the late Foreign Affairs minister Robert Ouko, was laid to rest at her Koru home in Muhoroni, Kisumu county, yesterday.She died on August 21, after she was involved in a grisly road accident.In a condolence message read on his behalf by Foreign Affairs Cabinet Secreatery Amina Mohammed,President Uhuru Kenyatta eulogised Christabel as a dedicated, kind-hearted and caring public servant. “Christabel left a great mark in the lives of many citizens whom she mentored and groomed. She distinguished herself by her dedication to her family, her community and her country,” said Uhuru.On his part, Raila through Kisumu governor Anyang' Nyong'o eulogised Ouko's widow as a patriotic citizen.“We pray and call for support and comfort to the family at this difficult time. May God grant them strength to overcome through the sorrow,” Raila said.Christabel is survived by seven children and 13 grandchildren.
