Jubilee Party and the Opposition are set to tour the Western region to hunt for votes.
President Uhuru and his deputy William Ruto begin a two-day tour of the vote-rich region Thursday to launch several projects in Bungoma, Kakamega and Busia counties.
And on Saturday, ODM leader Raila Odinga will be in Vihiga County where he will open the Mumboha stadium, before holding a rally at the same venue, the Standard reports.
On Sunday, Amani National Congress leader Musalia Mudavadi will be in Mumias to attend service at Bishop Hanningtone Cathedral before embarking on a meet the people tour in several parts of Kakamega.
Raila and Mudavadi will be seeking to market the yet to be launched National Super Alliance (NASA) whichNASA seeks to unite all opposition parties to contest against UhuRuto in the 2017 elections.
“Everything is finalised, we are going there,” David Mugonyi, DP Ruto’s communications director, told the Nation on the phone Wednesday.
On his part, Bungoma Governor Kenneth Lusaka said Uhuru and Ruto will commission several projects among them Webuye Pan Paper Mills.
