Jubilee Presidential candidate Uhuru Muigai Kenyatta and Nasa Presidential Candidate Raila Amolo Odinga have been urged to desist utterances that might divide the nation ahead of the poll.

Maurice Otieno, the Baharini Residents Association chairman in Biashara ward, Nakuru, said reckless utterances might lead to violence.

“The two leaders should be careful with the kind of words they use in their political rallies to avoid putting Kenya into chaos. What we need is peaceful elections,” he said.

Speaking during a Peace meeting, Mr.Otieno also challenged politicians to focus on policies rather than propaganda against each other.

His sentiments were echoed by Francis Shinali from Nakuru Town East Neighborhood Association who said Kenyans went through a lot of suffering in 2007/2008 and they are not ready to experience the same.

“I would like to call on all the top coalitions Jubilee and Nasa to educate their followers to ensure they are ready to accept the outcome of the August polls,” he said.
