Political drums will roll in Western Kenya region as both President Uhuru Kenyatta and ODM leader Raila Odinga are set to visit the region in one week.
Uhuru will on Thursday officiate a graduation ceremony at Kibabii University in Bungoma. Raila is also set to attend ODM delegates meeting at Masinde Muliro University on the same day in Kakamega.
Good news for Western Kenya people is that President Kenyatta will also officially open the collapsed Webuye Pan Paper industry which fell in 2009.
Leaders in the area have already expressed their excitement over the tour.
"Locals including leaders have high expectations ahead of the President's visit. We expect that he will start some of the projects he promised the community,” stated Navakholo MP Emmanuel Wangwe.
ODM leader Raila Odinga is set to engage delegates and aspirants of all posts in the party and popularise his political bid in the region.
