Kangundo Member of Parliament Fabian Kyule Muli has asked leaders to respect the presidential petition ruling set for tomorrow, November 20, 2017.

Muli warned President Uhuru Kenyatta and NASA leader Raila Odinga against making statements that are likely to raise political temperatures in the country.

"The economy has suffered a lot due to the current political stalemate. The two leaders should avoid making remarks that can sink it further," he told Sunday Nation.

The Muungano Party legislator also called on supporters of Jubilee and NASA to shun violence and another undesirable behaviour.

"Supporters of both sides of the political divide need not engage in chaos as it will only result to loss of lives and destruction of property," Muli noted.

The much-awaited verdict by the Chief Justice David Maraga-led top court will be delivered on Monday amid rising tensions in most parts of the country.

Uhuru and Raila have been pointing fingers at each other over the current impasse in the country.

On Saturday the President put the Opposition leaders on notice following violence that rocked the return of Raila from the US on Friday, saying his government would not tolerate violence.
