Upon arrival, veteran opposition leader Raila Odinga made for the table around which President Uhuru Kenyatta, his wife Margaret Kenyatta, Somalia's President Farmajo, DP Ruto and speakers of both Houses sat.

When Raila stretched out his hand to President Uhuru Kenyatta he took it but did not stand perhaps an indication of the power politics at play here.

He then stretches his to Somalia's President Farmajo who stands up and shakes Raila's hand.

Many would have expected Farmajo to remain seated while shaking Raila's hand but he confounded expectations by rising up perhaps an indication of the high esteem with which he holds the veteran opposition leader.
