President Uhuru Kenyatta has spoken for the first time since snubbing Monday night publicised presidential debate by the Debate Media Limited at the Catholic University of East Africa (CUEA).
Speaking through State House Spokesman Mr Manoah Esipisu, Uhuru said he has already done 14 radio interviews and plans to do 26 more to explain more his plans to Kenyans.
Esipisu also said the Uhuru will endeavor to address Kenyans on platforms they are familiar with, for instance, he had a live Facebook interview on Sunday, July, 23.
"He will also engage with Kenyan youths on platforms they are familiar with," said Esipisu.
Also, while speaking in Kiandu, Nyeri County on Tuesday during a campaign rally, Uhuru termed the debate as a waste of time.
"Do you want me to spend my time responding to Raila or commissioning projects? I decided that he will debate alone because I have nothing to debate with him. I will not waste my time there,” he said.
This statements from State House came in after Uhuru was roasted by Kenyans on the social media after missing in action during Monday night debate where only his arch rival NASA presidential candidate Raila Odinga showed up.
