President Uhuru Kenyatta has given an oblique response to the insults Embakasi East MP Babu Owino is said to have issued on Sunday during a NASA rally in Nairobi.
Responding to one of his supporters who raised a banner calling for action against Babu Owino at a rally in Embu, President Uhuru said he would “look into it” adding that there is time for everything.
“Eeh, hiyo…hiyo tutampata…ngoja tu. Kila kitu ina wakati wake (We’ll look into that, just wait, there is time for everything),” said Uhuru.
Meanwhile residents of Kiambu on Monday held demonstrations to protest against Babu Owino’s insults directed towards the President.
The protesters called for the arrest of the MP, saying he had disrespected the Head of State.
Babu Owino has however denied the claims, saying he did not mention the name of any president.
