President Uhuru Kenyatta has rubbished claims by NASA presidential flag bearer Raila Odinga that the state is engaging KDF in a plot to rig the next general elections.

Speaking on Wednesday, the Head of State described the former premier as 'a rumour monger', adding that the Opposition has already sensed defeat.

He further defended his administration's four and half year tenure, calling on Kenyans to reelect him for a second term.

“We want to have a new generation of leaders who are development oriented and not tribal. I call upon you (residents) to vote for me so as to continue with the projects that we have already initiated,” he stated.

“We want to continue with our work of tarmacking roads, connecting more Kenyans to electricity, and other projects. Let us not be deceived by NASA who are made up of leaders with empty rhetoric and no issues,” he added.
