Two months after controversial deportation of lawyer Miguna Miguna, President Uhuru Kenyatta is set to link up with the Nairobi County Deputy Governor nominee albeit from several miles in Canada.

On Tuesday, Uhuru traveled to Canada, Quebec where he is expected to attend the G-7 summit which will focus on climate change.

"Traveled to Quebec, Canada for the G-7 summit which will focus on economic growth, climate change and security," he said.

Apparently, Miguna Miguna has been marooned in Canada, a country which Uhuru's administration says the lawyer is a citizen.

But in a rejoinder, Miguna rubbished claims that he may come across Uhuru, who he has constantly referred to as a despot.

"Basic geography to Kenyans. Canada is the second largest country in the world by land size. At the moment, I am exiled in Ontario and not Quebec.

"The distance between Toronto and Quebec is 800KM. It is like going to Dar-es-salaam  from Nairobi. So I won't see the despot," he said on his Twitter.

Last month, Miguna had his attempts to re-enter the country backfire after the government failed to facilitate his return in compliance with court orders.
